What can change in five sessions?

Two or three high-impact features of your speech — identified, trained and integrated into your English.

Your first five sessions focus on the areas that make the greatest difference to how your English is heard. Depending on your speech and goals, that might mean particular vowels or consonants, word stress, rhythm, connected speech or another feature of your accent.

Five sessions

A focused intervention around your highest-impact features.

Ten sessions

More time to refine pronunciation, rhythm and connected speech, develop consistency, and apply the work to professional or performance situations.

A defined programme. A clear focus. Further coaching only if you want to take the work further.

Positioning

Native-like does not mean losing your voice.

You already speak English. Vocabulary, grammar and fluency may be entirely in place — and still the pronunciation, rhythm or accent may not quite reflect how you want to be heard.

Sounding more native is not a demand that you become someone else. It is the work of developing the features that make spoken English feel natural and effortless to listeners:

  • Vowel and consonant systems
  • Word stress
  • Sentence stress
  • Rhythm
  • Intonation
  • Connected speech
  • Reductions and weak forms
  • Voice quality

Your English is already strong. Now refine the way you sound.

For people presenting ideas, leading teams, appearing in media or communicating with international clients and investors.

05

Academics & lecturers

For professionals who need to communicate complex ideas clearly and naturally to international audiences.

For people who already speak English confidently but want to sound more native-like in everyday and professional communication.

Coaching paths

Three directions. One individual programme.

The path is chosen with you, not applied as a template. The first session maps your voice and the work begins at once.

01 — Sound more native

Make your English feel more natural.

Reduce first-language influence. Refine pronunciation, rhythm, stress and connected speech.

  • Vowels and consonants
  • Word and sentence stress
  • Weak forms and reductions
  • Connected speech and intonation
02 — Develop a British accent

Choose the British English you want to speak.

Standard Southern British — contemporary RP — or another clearly named British accent.

  • SSBE / contemporary RP
  • Vowel quality and linking
  • Target intonation
  • Named in session one
03 — Master a specific accent or dialect

British English has never been just one accent.

A particular regional or social variety, chosen deliberately.

  • London / Estuary
  • Yorkshire, Geordie, Scouse
  • West Country, Scottish, Welsh English
  • Other defined varieties
High-stakes speaking

When your voice is part of the performance.

The work can be shaped around the moments in which the way you speak matters most — a keynote, a pitch, an audition, a role. It is not acting training, unless you are preparing an accent or a part.

Book

The fee covers the coaching, preparation, personalised materials and work between sessions — not simply time spent in the room.

The session

Sessions are scheduled for up to 50 minutes. If productive vocal work has reached its natural limit earlier, we stop. The aim is useful practice, not filling the clock.

Practice between sessions

You receive model recordings, targeted exercises and a personal training plan. Each week you submit three short recordings, so practice stays consistent and progress can be followed between sessions.

Method

A programme built around you.

There is no generic pronunciation syllabus, because no two speakers have the same pronunciation profile. The work is analytical, practical and cumulative.

  1. 01

    Map

Session one is recorded. Your current vowel and consonant system is mapped using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), and the sounds that need work are named.

  2. 02

    Begin

Accent work starts in that same session, immediately after the assessment. There is no waiting for a later lesson.

  3. 03

    Train

The coaching targets high-impact sounds in your own speech — not a generic accent template.

  4. 04

    Practise

You receive homework and recordings of the coach’s voice. You send three recordings of your own each week, for accountability and monitoring — not for grading.

  5. 05

    Update

Your personal PDF training plan is reviewed and updated throughout. Recordings continue in every session.

  • SpecialistPronunciation, accent and delivery — not general English.
  • Between sessionsA living plan, model recordings, and practice that is actually followed.
The coach

Alexander Gaskell

A British native English speaker, based in Wrocław, working with advanced speakers who want greater control over how they sound.

Alexander is an experienced English educator, with years of training and experience specifically in pronunciation, accent and spoken delivery. The coaching is individual, analytical and practical.

The coach speaks Polish. That is particularly useful when working with Polish speakers: the phonetic differences between Polish and English, and the patterns that transfer from one language into the other, can be addressed with precision rather than guesswork.

The first session

We record you. Then we begin.

Session one is not a trial, and it is not sold separately. It is the opening of the programme you have booked.

  • Your speech is recorded
  • Your current vowel and consonant system is mapped using the IPA
  • The sounds that will change how you come across are named
  • Accent work begins in the same session

There is no separate assessment to book. You enquire, a five- or ten-session programme is arranged, and the work starts in session one.

Session one

Assessment, then accent — in the same hour.

Recordings throughout. Homework from the first week.

In plain terms.

Contact

Write with a little context.

A short note is enough. The more clearly you can describe the situation — a presentation, a role, a professional context, a particular accent — the more useful the first reply can be.
